Hello to everyone :o
New to RPF, i was introduced to it through the istagram profile :)
i'm from a country town in Australia called Tamworth.. it's not bad here. Photography is a hobbie of mine, i really enjoy it. They say your best camera is the one you have with you and that is usually my iphone! it's good to take a quick snap when out and about. recently got a Sony a390, still learning the ins and outs of it but loving it :) looking forward to some feedback and suggestions on improving some shots.
cheers guys :)
heres a recent one from my phone library

Hi Brodie and welcome,

I'm also an iPhone lover and there is a great thread dedicated to iPhotography, I haven't been here long and the people have been nothing but friendly.... you'll like it

Thanks Davie!

Hi Brodie!!! Glad you made it!!! I too am an ifan and Shoot with my phone more often than I do with my dslr. Check out our app revew page for some nice phoneography editing programes. Other than that welcome to the family. Have a look around comment away post your stuff and ask away. there are people here who just like to dabble in photography and people who have vast amounts of knowledge and experience who are happy to help and suggest.... No question is toooo stupid.

Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!!

Hi Brodie and welcome. As Davie says, I'm sure you'll enjoy the place. Not an iPhone user myself (or any mobile phone much for that matter!!) but I really like the stuff you guys produce with one: like the beach shot you included for example. Looking forward to seeing more.

HI Brodie
Good to have you on board!
As you might have noticed, we have a good few iPhone users here and definitely appreciate its possibilities as a camera!

Really like the your shot, I do like this sort of aesthetic, the reflection in the wet sand and the foot prints that follow the line of the water make it a great shot, but with the added "lomo" aesthetic it really works!

I shall look forward to seeing more shots, hope you like the place!

thank you hamish! :)
thanks for your feedback on the pic. looking forward posting some more. just need to figure out where exactly i should post them? haha

Hello Brodie!
I definitely agree that the best camera is the one you have right now. I like to shoot with a Canon 5D but often, especially when on mountain climbs, there is no way I could carry it. So in it's place I might have a little point and shoot. The pics I get with the little camera are often quite interesting. I have a thread on here somewhere that has a pic of my son in law hanging on a rope while we were descending Mount St. Nicholas in Glacier National Park. I took it with a little 3 mp camera but he will always cherish that image.

The thread is here: http://www.realphotographersforum.com/people-portraits/1365-climbing-partner.html

Looking forward to seeing more of your iPhone work.
