Homage To Mr Askew - Rocky 4

I'm flattered Rob, and what a super set. I think they work really well and I like the parallel between the striations in rocks in the first two with the band of moss in the third. And the mineral in-fill in the first with the leaves in the last. Lovely stuff.

Striations, eh? New word for the day :)

I just had the XS1 with me, but wouldn't have got closer with either the Hexar or the XE1. Could have done with a tripod as well. But it has given me ideas, and I'll return, maybe even with the macro set up on the RB67.

I was amazed at the detail in the rocks, and kept thinking of your macro shots, Pete.

Thanks, Paul. I like the abstract potential of the rocks too. Will return to them at some point.

VERY windy here today - big refuse bins getting blown around the street. I'll be heading out later, hopefully get some movement shots.

Rob - all are nice but that first one is WOW! I could happily have that as a canvas on a wall. I don't know what it is about it, maybe the symmetry and processing but I really love it.
