First Day Out with Zone Focussing

I'll never use AF again! Zone focussing is so much easier. I tried some shots I wouldn't normally be interested in, just to check how the focus worked out. I even did some editing which I wouldn't normally do, such as increasing Clarity in LR6 up to double digits - on only one or two shots - again just to see what I had to work with.

28mm lens, f/11 - with infinity on 11 that gave me a focus zone of anything beyond four feet. Sometimes I used auto SS, sometimes choose it myself. ISO 800. I could have set things up to be sharper, maybe, at closer distances, but they seem sharp enough. I don't usually like overly-sharp images.

Not the lens, I hope!:D

Well, it's not rocket science, and once the lens is set, you can forget about it and just concentrate on shots. Don't know why I didn't do this before.

Looks like you have got the hang of it. An interesting and varied selection of subjects. The High Street pic is very good.
