I love Honister pass, it's one of my favourite roads in the UK. Very eerie and quite malevolent when no one is around, shot just after dawn. A typical wet start in the Lakes. Fuji X pro 1 14mm

That does convey my memories of Honister. It was a day like this that got me to tour the slate quarry instead of walking the fells! Another got me soaked through on Haystacks.

Actuallt the rest of the weekend was gorgeous and very hot. That morning we did the via ferrata from the slate quarry, the burma bridge crossing was eventful.That does convey my memories of Honister. Very nicely done Nick. Great atmosphere and tones, especially in the sky. Quite reminiscent of some of Brandt's landscapes in contrast and tone I think.
