Humber Estuary

At the entrance to the River Humber between Lincolnshire and Yorkshire lie two early military forts. These are imposing structures as is common with military buildings and in this shot can be seen Haile sand fort which I remember from my early days of playing on the beaches back around 1964. This place and the place known as 'The Fitties' close by are ingrained in my spirit from my early childhood when I became spiritually connected with all of the old military airfields of the county. Around 1976 I discovered motorbikes and started to travel all over my home county exploring just about everything I possibly could that was connected to WWII and the cold war. Loved the utter freedom I had back in those days.
