John, I checked the file sizes as I went along. 58 MB out of camera, 78 MB out of LR. Not bad for a pocket camera. But Foveon sensors can not be compared like for like with Bayer sensors. They work quite differently.

I think the second, especially, looks like a small detail from a large 17th-century Ducth oil painting.

It does, especially with the sheen of the 'varnish'. Super colours and I love the velvet-like texture of the first. Gorgeous.
