Ickworth House

As I live quite close and enjoy going there I'm often there taking photos. I'm not really into architecture but I do like this building. It is much better from the back, the front is quite boring and has too many trees obscuring the view. It has taken me a while to get to grips with my super wide as it is only really usable at a select range of focal lengths and f stops and it took me a while to work out what they were.

These I like because they are actually what I had in my head when I took them.

This is a B&W version in my current favourite B&W preset that I have come up with.

It's a great place to visit if you get the chance.

Perfect exposure Paul. I really like it. Well done dude :)

Number 2 is my favorite. Both Color and B&W. Why is that building round, Paul? Was it an observatory or something?

Thanks.

Cheers for the comments guys. The building was a stately home and just designed that way. It has the central circular part and a wing each side that is curved and then straightens out. I heard that originally the family run out of money halfway through and one wing was either built or completed much later.

Paul, that's some gaff you have there! Nice! ;)
