Very pleased with this one I took today at work. The light and shadows were great, as they often are early mornings this time of year in the woods.

Deeply sad, though. I know, I know, timber can be used for good things, but I still feel sad when I see an aged tree cut down.

I know what you mean Rob, really I do.
This tree was planted as part of a crop. I wish we used more timber and less concrete and steel.

I understand the feeling too.
Sad to see a tree fall, but modern architects can build amazing things with gluelam beams.
So long as the are replaced with as many new saplings there will always be trees.
