Odd maybe, more interesting than anything else and it came about because i wanted a flash for the OM-D. I have Canon 430EX11, a good flash and did use it on the OM-D, but got to nervous after a while. The local camera shop had an Olympus FL50, it is a good flash top of their range but surpassed now by the FL50R. Today it seems not correct to have a flash without remote, and the extra possibilities this brings. Already having the 430EX11 I did not want to get another expensive flash. Metz have a good basic line which is a worthwhile option. On chatting about the FL50 the salesman mentioned they had a second hand trigger in. So I took my 430EX 11 along and low and behold the trigger on the OM-D worked the canon flash. So eventually for a few pounds, rather than buying a new flash I can use my existing one with the OM-D. Made good sense.
