In Flight

Ooh - these are very cool, Rob. I really like them, especially the last one. Did you start with a preset in SEFP, or just wing it?

I keep going back to look at the images as I try to write this - very captivating. That last one would definitely be printed and hanging on the wall in a microsecond (well, at least after the print dried and you got the right size frame for it :))

Awesome work, buddy!

Thanks, Keith. I don't know what SEFP means. I made the square crop in Elements 11, then opened up Nik Silver for a B&W rendition. Then opened them in Nik Colour and created a recipe of Glamour Glow, Dark With Light Centre, and Infra Red, where I adjusted the light levels.

Ah, SEFP means Silver Effex Pro! I get there in the end :)

Kind of posed...I asked her to walk down the staircase, but we were heading that way anyway. I just held back as we got closer. So, I guess I saw the shot before we got there.

More grain, eh? Never noticed that. I have gone the other way on many occasions, but never noticed the effect on the grain. I'll definitely experiment with that next time. I think this time I knew I definitely wanted b&w, and then wanted to see the effects of the recipe on it. Hold on! Stop the bus! I'm talking rubbish! I never used Nik Silver at all. The b&w comes from the infra red in Nik Colour.

Sorry, everyone for leading you all astray! I've done a lot of editing today, and got mixed up. Not for the first time, either.

Wonderful effect - almost like a Lensbaby - especially like #3
