Independence Ospreys

Cyn and I travelled to Independence, OR for my birthday this week and stayed at the hotel on the river next to the osprey nest. Here is a webcam where you can watch the chicks develop. Here are my osprey shots:

great shots. i like the first shot with the chicks sticking their heads up. we have a ton of osprey living around here, but you can't get many good views of the nest like you've got.

The nest is built on a pole that I assume was planted specifically for the nest. The nest is under constant webcam surveillance which you can view here. Our hotel was located directly adjacent to the pole and my shots were from our third-floor balcony, so I had a little altitude gain allowing a better angle on the nest.
