Ingleborough - The Other Erratic

I've done it again! Thought I posted, while I probably only checked it in preview.

This completes the gloomy weather series (well - one day in the Dales anyway). The entrance to the White Scar caves can be seen near the centre of the picture.

This is beautiful and it reminded me that I have not been to Inglebrough for years so a quick google and a trip planned for later in the month.

The only slightly negative comment I have is that the frame is probably too large for a forum as the forum software limits the size so I can only see a small amount of the photo, nearly as many frame pixels as photo pixels.

I am sure it would look fantastic printed large in a gallery etc.

Loving your work and PP skills :)

See if you can make it in August Pete :)

A bit more googling finds a pothole club site that is having a public access 'Winch meet' at Gaping Gill :)

I have wanted to do this for years.

Some links:

look at the photos on that site, it looks amazing.

A long walk in from the nearest village and probably a bit of a wait for a descent.

How will I keep my X100 dry down there :)

imagine walking to the end of the Gantry:

and then lowered down on the chair :)

Look how small the people look.

Maybe we could plan a photographers forum group descent :)

Love that bit on the 3rd link. You can tell it is run by enthusiasts and that a marketing firm wasn't employed, "£15 per person - includes ascent!"!! ;)

All sounds good to me but i can imagine that Ina would hate it.

An RPF descent. And there was me thinking we couldn't sink any lower!! :)
