Instax 210 Wide Format

A welcome Christmas Present, the Instax 210 is a wide-format instant polaroid-style camera. It is quite a handful, here compared to an iPhone 4S:

You can read the lens info there. There is also an add-on lens for closer images, but the focus range seems very narrow when using it. I tried a selfie, but didn't get it in focus - and it is quite costly to experiment with. The main lens seems good, and has two settings: 0.9m to 3m, and 3m to infinity, but probably not beyond...

There is a basic exposure compensation - choose from Light, Neutral, Dark.
And there is a choice of standard or fill flash.

These scans are not good. In fact, I don't like scanning instant film shots - the object in itself is what it's all about, not just the image. They look so cool. Beautiful.

The snowflakes are from the scanning - they are not there on the object.

Update - Boxing Day walk...

Here we can see the two focus settings. The first is the 0.9m to 3m, so the foreground is in focus...

And the 3m to infinity...where nothing seems in focus!

And what happens when you have the sun in frame :)

Excellent stuff Rob - an instant selfie! :)

Update:

Using the close-up lens, I thought these two forks were dead centre of the frame. Not so. But I quite like the happy accident of how the shot has come out.
