Critique Welcomed Into The Woods

Trying to get a flavour of the Woods close by to where I live. Whilst there are Bluebells there, they are a little sparse, so I thought I'd go more B&W for that more dramatic feel.

The problem is I just don't think I've quite a a focus point anywhere specific in either image to make them really work that well...

The overall texture overcomes the normal technical "requirement" of a specific focal point Dave. IMHO...the first one works for me for that reason.
