Photo Hang 3000. Well 2000 does have the same ring that it did in the 80s!
Banging nails into my wall was doing a lot of damage and when I bought some larger frames I needed to rearrange everything and I was reluctant to pulls nails out and then bang more in. After being quite underwhelmed buy the various hanging systems available I decided to make my own yesterday. A quick trip to B&Q and I was able to buy all that was needed. The rails are Scotia trim that is normally used around the edges of laminate flooring. I glued and then screwed the rails to the walls, 5 levels at 60 cms apart. The frames are attached by standard picture hooks that are pinned inverted to the back of the sides of the frame, 2 per frame. I chose to pin every hook 10 cms from the top so when mounted all the tops were at the same level. You might just be able to see that some of the smaller frames are hanging from brass wires where there was room to hang 2 frames on a level.
Over all I well pleased and it all cost under £40.
