Thanks Dan :)

Granddaughter #1 asked for drums for her birthday next week.

Mummy and daddy are far too sensible to buy anything like that.

That's what grandparents are for! :D

Haha!!
I can almost feel the raised eyebrows coming. :)

Quickly followed by hard stares and then throwing things no doubt! :D

Really beautiful shots. Who knew that a hi-hat could be so beautiful?! Took me a few seconds to get what it was.

Thanks Rob - spotted the rings reflecting the light and just could't resist trying a shot

Ooohh, those cymbals are gonna hurt!! :D:D
Now I can see an ending performance of The Who going on! :D:D

Good old Zildjian.
I had a Zildjian 18" crash and it's was a beaut. The rest were Paiste, alternatively just as good/unique.
Good find there Pete! Cheers

Nice shot Chris. Love the contrast between the felt and the metal. I take it you'll make sure they take them with them!!

Pete - we'll be delivering the set to their house, ready to play - AND LEAVING THEM THERE! :D

Great story on that link.

Would have loved to get her a mini set of Premier drums, as they were the local company when I lived in Leicester. But I don't think Premier do kid size kits.

We ended up with a kids kit rather than the Barbie 'Toy kit' which was only slightly cheaper, but definitely didn't look like it would last.

In metallic pink (of course)

Anyone know for a right handed drummer if the tom should be on the left (as in the above photo), or on the right?

Evil grand dad! (I'd do the same!:D)

Evil Nama, and Papa backing her up! :D

My son wanted a drum kit for his eighteenth birthday but as we didn't have space for one I'd said we'd go halves on a Digital set to save room.
It also meant I had to wait another year before I could buy myself my Canon 450D and 400mm lens:(.

I can't even remember the last time I heard him play them:mad:.
