wow this looks an amazing camera, cant believe how big clear & bright the VF seems & love that digital overlay system wish my lens would hurry up, could take 7 days + yet

the menu systems seem to go on for ever lol far far more options than the x10, nice looking case also to keep the camera protected in transport

???????? is there not mode dial or setting of sorts ??????? am i stuck in Manual full time? it aint an issues like i mainly always shoot in manual anyhow, just curious & to excitable to look through manual hahaha

I envy you. I would love to shoot one of these. I played around with an X100 at a camera store and was impressed with the image quality. It looks like a fine camera and I am sure you will have a ton of fun shooting it. Good luck.

You'll need a lens for it to produce its best pictures Daz!

Congrats Darren!

If you look at the shutter speed dial you'll see an A for Auto - So that's Auto Shutter Mode

When you get your lens, you'll see an A on the Aperture ring - So that's Auto Aperture Mode

Use both for full Auto

I tend to set aperture manually, and let the camera select shutter speed in day to day shooting - set AUTO ISO to Auto 6400 in the ISO menu - it will then adapt ISO to light conditions.

i don't think the x-pro 1 is going to be teh fanny magnet you want either. it's been nothing but guys asking me about mine, which works well for me. not so well for you... lol.

What was the condition like from the refurb store? I have to say that my X10 was brand new.

the 35 is pretty sweet, i'm waiting on the 18-55mm.

I hope so Beth, heard many reccomendations for that lens being the one to have if you only have one lens for that camera to start with.

LOL at pat, i got my nephew a HS20 bridge camera refurbed last year and that was immaculate conditions so i have no worries about getting the X pro 1 from refurbed.

Must say though i was bit nervous when opening it. But nothing to worry about it is literally immaculate, not a mark, scratch or any signs of wear on the camera at all. I am very chuffed with the condition in the as new conditions It has brand new sealed strap & sealed battery & sealed battery charger. Also has a brand new case which doesn't seemed to have been used, in mint condition and sealed box
