Last couple of years we have had starlings occupying this apple tree, they are exceptional at raising families, last year they had 2 sets, wonder what this year will bring, anyway just about to deliver a grub to waiting mouths. Fuji Xt1 55-200 lens_DSF8335a.jpg

Looks like she is standing on the forehead of some monster from the forest, with those big holes for eyes.
It's amazing what these Mums have to do to feed the little ones. I prefer this type of shot to the usual birds on sticks variety. Very good Nick.

" A very good catch," right? I see you've done it well here Nick 'cause she does not sit still for long. Very good picture. Now please tell me, Can you utilise one of the Fn's on the camera for setting the ISO, as for instance the video button? I had a one in my hand yesterday and I have to admit, I am sold! Santa where are you?

Thanks Ivar they dint sit still for long they are very wary especially near the nest. As to your question you can set a lot of functions with the assignment of several different buttons. You cannot assign anything to the video button, hopefully in the next firmware upgrade hopefully be able to disable the video button.

The ISO function which you used to be able to assign to a button on the earlier x models, on the XT1 because it has it's own ISO ring it's not available in the menu anymore. All other functions can be assigned to a button though. Since getting the Xt1 the X pro has been number 2, shot a complete wedding last weekend using only the the Xt1 and the X pro the Nikons sat in the boot. Never missed a shot the focus is that good.
