Thank you Wes. I can always find plenty of inspiration in London, I love the river and the architecture. About 65 miles from me, so going there is a day out. I do plan to go there again soon, depending on my work shedule, too crowded at the weekend.
I have a few of that bridge too, Dave, so I’m not surprised you find yourself repeatedly drawn to it. These are good shots. The sweep toward St. Paul’s is magnificent.
The bridge might well be your best angle yet, Dave! And the view from it really does not look like London and I think that is interesting especially when one comes to the last. The conveys to me how London is becoming lost among the new buildings; still there, but being over-powered. I'm not sure if that was your intent, but that is what I read into it.
Thank you Pete. I see the city as a living thing, constantly changing and growing is better than stagnating. I know what you mean about the old London getting lost too. Your comment reminds me of a line from a song; "Something's lost and something's gained in living every day".
Thank you Brian. It is an entirely new type of bridge, known as a lateral suspension bridge. Those pipes are the main support cables, but rather than being high above, as per a normal suspension bridge, they run to the sides.
