It's That Time Of Year Again

I think the first one stands out and that is probably why you entered it first. Second one is also good. Seems to me you photograph more with the two than any of the other Rob, and in colour too. You must prefer the 50mm then;)

Thanks, Ivar. Yes, the 2 gets more work than the 1. But I'm glad I have both. Clifton cameras said the 3 should arrive at their shop this week...we shall see.

Not in your league Rob and much learning to be done with Marmite, the brick with a lens!

Marumi DHG 330 should be here tomorrow which, very conveniently, is when my beloved is at the hairdressers. Deep joy!

So Pat what side of the toast do you spread the Marmite? All good I hope.

Belt and braces sort of chap Julian, so both sides!

Thus far I love the little divil, but I must admit to having to stop and think with SPP.
Which for me is problem numero uno. It's not because I am thick; it's because I am very thick.

However, in a scene reminiscent of Colonel Manfred von Holstein learning how to fly by ROTE in "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines", I am slowly wading through the online instructions to the letter whilst gently humming ' We shall overcome.'
And overcome we shall....in due course.

Pat it is easy, just push the slider thing two and fro, a coffee between each slide as you wait for the thing to respond. Like not like, try a different slider. then another coffee.
One thing I would advise in seriousness. On the noise panel I always take these to the zero position. It gives the best detail and not really needed if the shots are below 400 iso. Also if there is to much detail the x3 fill light slider into the negative will sogten the light and image a bit. To much to the right and it tends to be a bit harsh. But have fun. Apparently the speed of SSP has very little to do with the power of the computer. Enjoy

Many thanks Julian and Rob. I will persevere.

I wish I had bought it last month. My four grandsons were up for Easter and even the three year old is IMac and programme savvy to a degree that frightens and shames me in equal measures.

Pat I do remember when I simply hit the auto button in Photoshop elements. I am little more advance now, I believe repetition helps greatly. But yes I do something new and show of to my daughter when at home and she smiles over my shoulder. That smile that says, well that is what everyone does and always have, why is it so clever. So now I've learnt not to show off my new skills and pretend I've discovered a unique process :)

No1 is lovely :)

Always reminds me of...

"It's one o'clock and time for lunch... dum de dum de dum dum..."

:)
