John Malkovich Recreates Classic Photos

"social media's degradation of photography as an art form". Really? People have always taken personal snaps, it's just that they don't now get confined to a shoebox in a cupboard. And I know that even in my small world of FaceBook Friends, some people have seen my images and have been inspired to try something beyond the usual selfies. I often get asked for advice on cameras, software and techniques. Those that know me here will know that I am probably the last person to ask about those things. But the point is that I see nothing but people either enjoying what some (not me) might call non-artistic photography, and still have an appreciation for something more "artistic" when they see it.

I think this photographer and his actor friend are stuck up their own derrières...

Photography is currently very much alive and kicking, covering the entire range of human expression.

I smell a bourgeois angst from losing control...

so wonderfully bizarre Rob - nice find
