Königstein Fortress

The last shots by Brian using his 'new' Hawkeye reminded me of an image I captured at Königstein Fortress. This wasn't supposed to be out of focus but it was incredibly hot, I was behind the others and the rangefinder was still set at the wrong end of the range for what I was about to photograph and I cocked-up the focusing by overlapping the wrong verticals! Having said that, I actually quite liked the result and added a good does of grain, a strong vignette and a some toning.

Well if you don't pay attention and you have similar vertical lines in an image you can end up overlapping the wrong ones in the rangefinder square. I obviously lined up the wrong pillars in my haste and because the rangefinder was so far out I didn't realise until I looked at the results that evening on the laptop.
