Kilnsea Beach

Gary, the atmosphere comes from an ultra wide, in this case a Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens. I use an ages old version of Photoshop running on an old PC built by myself back in 2006. In that software I run Silver Efex Pro and Colour Efex Pro. The Colour Efex Pro controls the vignette density and size (centre to edge ratio) and also the fuzzy soft focus. The Silver Efex Pro controls the conversion to monochrome. The tint is controlled in Photoshop using an overlay layer and Pantone 309.

The only time I ever became involved in infra red was back in '94 using What was then Konica Infra Red with an R72 filter. I'll scan a neg and do some work on it. I'm interested now.
