Klaudia Shooting A Blad

My photography-buddy, Klaudia, invited me along to a shoot she had been given by her lecturer (she is studying for a degree in photography), something to do with the Metropolis and Nature. She hired a Hasselblad, and had a lot of bladie hassle trying to get it on the tripod. How we laughed.

I had my DP2M. ISO 640. Blue filter in SPP. Yellow filter on lens.

Guy behind her picking his nose...worthy of a crop, but I couldn't get one I was happy with.

What she was looking at:

Super set, Rob. It is so much easier with a Hasselblad QD plate! ;) And yes, they are so much more compact and portable than the RB/RZ.

The last shot is brilliant - well spotted and, in general, I love her looks of concentration that you've caught.

You really must persuade her to join RPF, Rob. I'm dying to see her shots. :)

That was part of my cropping woes, Pete. I wanted the Jenners sign in, and also the No Parking lines, and when it was square it would include too much of the sides for a close up.

She's an Instagram addict, and doesn't do forums - they're apparently for old fogeys like us  Seriously, younger people don't seem keen on fora.

Thanks, Hamish.

Amusingly, she told me that the college has a digital Hassleblad which is so expensive, even the lecturers are scared to touch it...so no one uses it. Crazy.

This is what I have found chatting to the folks I've got to know on social media. Forums are a hard sell these days to a lot of people

What's her name on Instagram?

I don't know, but her name is Klaudia Wyderkiewicz. I've just joined Instagram to have a look around, but couldn't find her. I'll ask her what name she uses.

Lovely shots Rob and a nice companion. It's always nice to be two, sharing a mutual interest and you being a tutor I suppose. I liked the first one especially. My days with my Hasselblad as we call in Scandinavia for ( translated ) rattleblad ), were numbered years ago. Not good for street photography involving people.

I'm no tutor, Ivar. I still don't know which way round a camera is - I have thousands of shots of my buttons. She likes to bounce ideas off me, for some inexplicable reason.

I found you. Though I doubt you will find my feed interesting. I just take photos of cameras with it. Which I understand to be rather dull by "normal" photographers standards

I'm not sure if I'll do anything on it, as it seems to be populated by pouting girls, restaurant food, dogs, cats, party people, etc, etc. The really good thing about it, though, is that they have managed to collect in one place all the things I hate, which is actually very useful. All I need to do is not go there, and my life will instantly be better. :)

Her name is klaudi3

Very good set Rob, I like the scales in the first and fourth along with the composition. A good sense of place. The process shown of using the camera and tripod works very well also.
