L.A. time-lapse photographer takes the long view

West Coast Correspondent
Colin Rich has spent many nights capturing the city's rhythms from out-of-the-way spots, including sneaking behind the Hollywood sign and climbing perilously close to rush-hour traffic.

Colin Rich worked to capture the “electric radiance” of Los Angeles through the beautifully shot time-lapse video seen above. It took approximately six months to acquire the necessary clips which were tricky to shoot due to restrictions placed on photography in LA by Homeland Security. The footage was captured using Canon 5DII and 7D cameras together with Zeiss and Canon lenses, and custom tracking hardware.

Amazing work, some superb locations, beautifully sequenced together. The LA times article linked above, shows a behind the scenes look at how the project was put together.
