Lake junk from this AM

Now these I love. I like the way you have used a very simple central framing for the compositions for them and let the contrast of the modern garbage in the landscape to speak for itself. I also really like the boot and log; quite different but excellent to think. And the skeleton of the Caiman is superb. A great harvest. :)

Well observed and captured Steve............

......... I wonder if the wearer of the mask lost the end of his / her nose when "whatever" chewed that peice off ????

Love a bit of urban decay - especially loving the deck-chair shot, but they're all excellent

Lovely detritus set! Pete said that thing with the teeth is a caiman. Is it, Steve,...? They're all excellent, but the boot, the bottle and the deck chair appeal to me most. Well done!

It's an alligator gar so close. I feel sorry for them. People catch them all the time and they are way to bony for to for most people to bother with to eat, so they just toss them on the bank. They are very common in the south. In Mississippi where I was born there are people who eat them, usually smoked. I've eaten gar before. It's actually pretty good if the chef/cook knows what they are doing.

They can get really big. I think somebody caught one in the Mississippi river that weighed almost 300 pounds.

Sorry for the TMI on the gar. :D
