Leipzig HBF

Well I haven't found my pictures of Dresden Main Station yet, but here's Leipzig! As I understand it the two guys in Hi-Vis jackets are wondering what the strange Californian with the big lens, flask and notebook is up to at the end of the platform. :)

I resemble that remark! ;)

Nice treatment - the tagging really pops on the train

What is it about railway stations? they have such great personality, I was stopped from photographing at Paddington and nearly stopped from boarding my train home, that was the day I was stopped from photographing the Hilton in Praid Street London, whilst a load of Chinese were happily clicking away at it.
Back on track.......:) even the modest little stations have an appeal.. Great Shot Pete but do need to see Dresden....

I love the idea of going up to a train spotter and start talking about bird watching ... Then if they try and say they are train spotting just start pretending they are still talking about birds "ah, yes the intercity 125, such a majestic creature, and what a wingspan!" ... Dunno why, but it's an idea that has always tickled me... I think that might make me a mean person!

I must dig out my photos from the 'musee de orsay" ... Similar sort of roof as I think it used to be a train station??

I too like the PP, works very nicely!

Thats Amazing pete!
Brings back so many memories of german train stations. haha! not what your thinking! lol
Went to many gigs when I lived there throughout my nearly 19 years, and of course the form of transport for me was the train.
I had the pleasure to take a trip on the ICE bahn, which is pretty impressive, and rapid!
I loved stopping at Wuppertal, and get off especially just to look at the hanging monorail system they have. Wish I was into photography then.
One thing I've got to say about the german rail transport is......... punctual..
When I moved over to the U.K in 2002, I was gob smacked... say no more. lol
Great PP on this one Pete, gives it very 'dreamy' feel to me, almost like you've dug into my mind and memories.
How many times can I click Hugo High Five??? lol

very 'dreamy' feel
I've refrained so far from posting anything about Pete's photo because I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was that appealed most to me about it. Perhaps the sign in the left foreground and the tagging on the train were distracting me a little, but Dan's comment has helped me refine my thinking. It's the dreamy kind of feel to the arches supporting the cieling. I love that!
