I think in this photo I wanted to convey a sense of wonder, but also of danger, of the love for risk. That wasp, so close to my son's eyes, creates tension (even though it is actually a harmless wasp). My son was so absorbed in the egg-laying scene inside the tree log that he must not have even noticed that I was photographing him.
