Light Up Lancaster

This has become an annual early November event in the city of Lancaster. Art, sculpture, sound and light installations, serious themes, fun and silliness all around.

Here are a few shots taken at and in between some of the events which happened this year.

Then there was a sculpture of boy and dog, which was great. I challenged myself in the short time we spent there, to photograph it with a completely dark background, something I have never tried before.
I almost pulled it off too! There's just a hint of something there towards the upper left corner.

Cracking set, Chris. Love the last shot, with the touches of movement and, of course, the name of the business. And that nearly black one is pretty well spot-on, and simple to fix at the printing / presentation stage of course should you be inclined. My overall favourite though is the third shot - fabulous framing and full of intrigue.

Fine set of pictures Chris, well captured. Particularly like the second one myself, those warm colours projected onto the brickwork.

Thanks David. I have perhaps thirty of that building, each looking completely different to all the others!
The building is the Judges Lodgings - where they used to stay when they were visiting to conduct the assizes.
