love the eyes in #1

#1 is super sharp - Loving the eye contact

did you do some clean-up during PP on this one Alfie? - the skin tones are very smooth?

I was thinking that ... It's a very nice capture, and doesn't look tweaked at all... But the skin tones are very smooth indeed!

They are all nice - very natural and relaxed. I too prefer the first with the focus on the eyes. I imagine the method of conversion (was it in-camera or not?) left slightly lighter tones to the skin. Young girls would need no softening at all. For anyone interested, I used to edit for NILMDTS and Portraiture seems to be the best software around for repairing skin. I did buy it for that work, but I doubt I will use it now. If you're into portraits, I would recommend it highly :)

There's very little PP on the bottom two colour shots of Jasmine, she has a lovely skin tone & I suspect I'll take quite a few images of her.

The top image of Lilly did have a little more PP work, but still not alot really. I did use the soften skin brush with a very low flow rate trying to keep things natural. The image didn't need it at all, but I'm just learning LR & as I like the capture I used it a little to experiment with. I liked the effect of the soften skin brush so kept it in & just added a little colour back in with split tone.

It looks like you have found a good level with it, just subtle enough!
I use the selective adjustments quite infrequently for this specifically... But there has been a couple of occasions hen it's come in very handy indeed!
