Lions In Up-close Using A Remote Control Camera Buggy

This YouTube video shows the amusing reactions from eight curious lions in Botswana, Africa, as photographer Chris McLennan of New Zealand shoots them using his remote controlled Nikon. (Car-L)

The results are unique - and would have been rather challenging to get any other way!

Looks like a great idea - I want one!

Damn, you're up early Kev!

The reactions not of the lions but of the guys when they saw the shots was just as amusing. They acted just like a pack. That was the best bit for me.

Fantastic! The only people to have previously seen such up close views of lions are now dead.

One of the things that interests me is how unafraid these animals are. Granted, the camera car is pretty small, but most animals--dogs for instance--shy away from the unknown. The lions, however, attacked the unknown thing. Truly, there is no greater predator in their domain. The lion is the king! Thanks for posting this, Chris.

Let's all sing together...
