This is a very old local fishing town located in Hong Kong called "Tai O"

What a wonderful set Aldous and, as Lesley says, quite different to the villages in the UK (look at some of the images by Julian). What did you use to capture the wide-angle shots?

I wondered if that was the lens. I carried my to Athens and never used it. Just the 18mm Zeiss. Must just stick it on the camera one day and se what I come up with. Hmm maybe if it's not too bright on Saturday I could do that with the Monochrom.

I personal choose Voigtlander instead of Zeiss. I have own a Zeiss 21mm/2.8, however the color is too vivid that the color of Voigtlander is more natural. Remember my post "another hiking day"? Most of the photos over there were took with Zeiss 21mm/2.8 which I think the color is too vivid. The Voigtlander 12/5.6 really surprised me for the overall performance and pricing

Yes, I agree that the handling of colour is very different and the Voigtländer produces quite muted colours but a I rarely leave the colours as shot. I've never tried the 12mm o the Monochrome though.

I have no idea for 12/5.6 with Monohrome as none of my friends own it, I am curious to know the performance as well
