Lone Cottage

Man, that's one remote spot!

Lovely lighting on the cottage - was that as captured or a little PP?

I like this!
Is it just me or has everyone been upping their game a bit recently ...
Thats not to say anyone previous photos were bad, they just seem to be getting better recently!

Not the place to suddenly realise you've run out of milk!!
True, Pete, but milk is not the beverage I'd be most careful to keep in stock. ;)

There have always been wonderful images posted daily since I joined, but in recent weeks I have become more discriminating aboot what I post because I think I too have perceived an increasing level of quality photography from the members. Put more bluntly, I'm finding it difficult to post images I feel are good enough.

Alastair's photo above is an example!

Cheers guys :)

ive got a colour, landscape version but I much prefer this one for some reason. This was originally colour but I converted it to B&W in photoshop and brought out a bit more detail in the sky. The lighting on the house is as shot, though the light was changing so quickly up there, it was a right pain in the *** for photography!

And Brian, get your photos up! I do look a lot at everyones work but I dont comment much on photography sites as im not great at explaining what I mean and always want to put more than "great shot!":o

Capturing the image as the cottage was lit makes this image outstanding. As the photo loaded on my iPad my eye was immediately drawn to the little cottage, then I began to explore the shoreline. Very nice! I love photos that take me on a tour through the image.
