Lost Gardens

Many thanks Pete , you must have dug deep to have found this post. I like certain of the qualities which is why I posted it. The light that afternoon was very contrasty and brought out the vivid colour of the rhododendrons.

Missed this one. Glad it resurfaced, as the light is astonishing. Well caught, that man.,
Thanks Rob. You know when you post and it is viewed umpteen times with no replies. I thought 'O well I'm losing the plot' :)I posted a good abstract in Fred Miranda's , which was never given a reply.

Dam it..... How do we miss something like this!!!!

And how are the leaves still in the trees down there?!? ;)

Brilliant Julian, just brilliant!

I don't recall seeing the post either and I would definitely have looked with this title. Superb colours and detail Julian. Now I'm sorry I wasn't well enough to do more of the gardens...

Lesley thank you. It was one of those days with, bright sun, mixture of dark grey and white sweeping cloud, were the sun breaks and gives just moments of intense contrast. this was the only,
shot I got of with this light. Mainly it did not last long, I also fumbled and missed the slot.

If Julian had mentioned beer, I bet this would have been picked up earlier! :D

Very dramatic with the darkening sky and the sunlit trees Julian - how far south are you again? ;-)

Probably Chris. South? Almost as far south as one can get on the mainland. Hours drive form the Lizard.
