Can just about see the malverns, however, I like this shot..... Anything to do with light streams, painting, trails, wool burns, spins, sculptures, mummies are all my cups of tea :) :) :)
Give me a shout the next time you fancy a visit to the Malvern hills in the dark sometime, I'll tag along. Have you ever been on the beacons at night?? Lovely view!

That's pretty smart Kev!
I'd be tempted to try and balance the exposure a little more ... I wonde what a HDR would look like? ;)

now that pretty clever & very effective...........

Dan, cheers, I have spent many long hard hours up the hills in a former life, back a few years when we had one of the biggest fires up there I was on duty on the Worcestershire Beacon from Saturday midday and came off the Hills on the Tuesday Morning only to be sent on to other fires. Long hours, and yep Great night views to.

Would be good to get up there, I think my last visit was in January during the snow. We will have to book some time get a RPF visit :)

Hamish Cheers as well, I would have liked a bit more equal exposure but the random nature of the passing traffic made it less than good. My aim was to have the midpoint street lights as my focal point and let the rest happen around it hoping that the Hills aboves and the effect of the light trails would give a natural frame, croping to 16 x 9 helps it anlong I think, Apart from the crop it is OOC and I only stopped off because my phone rang on the way home from a meeting. Chance thing.

Thanks Too Darren, I really do like working at night, there's something about being out when real people aren't, I get some odd looks when I'm found sitting in the grave yard though ;)

Thanks for the feedback ..

My favorite time to shoot is at night, too. When I'm out in a strange city for a business trip, I'll frequently bring my camera with me and wander the streets at night after my meetings, getting to know it. I get a lot of strange stares from that, too.

Inspired by Brassai........now that could be a theme! night time on the street..........could be heading for a visit by the local plod:eek:

I think in his day Brassai used magnesium flares to illuminate his subjects. (He'd be considered a terrorist today.) It was the work of Brassai that prompted me to take back stage shots. In particular it was a shot he took back stage at the Follies Bergere in the 1930s. (In fact, I think the image was called "Backstage at the Folies Bergere."). Great stuff.

Love it Hamish but.....where are the Malverns?????????:D

Should we all go out round Wuzza and set up our own RPF night Shoot, we could charge the 'drunks'a pretty penny or two, and would get some great stuff too..;)

Kev, that sounds like a great plan, can't wait to go out in the dark. I'm right in my element there! Speaking of graveyards.......... Check out my thread on the RPF search engine 'light mummy strikes again' (for those who haven't seen) and tell me if I'd get some funny looks in town if I did any of those!! Hahahaaaahaha! I'm sure I would :/
Whens the outing then?? Really looking forward it. Wwoooohooooo!!!

Haha!!! No way!! Did you see a man wondering round with a tripod and snapper??

Haha!! I did see a guy who had 2 women carrying his gear whilst he was taking pickies!!
I think Hamish is going to correct us though by saying we've got the wrong idea. It's a fayre and not a fair. Market stalls and disappointingly no rides ( I think) lol . Got a bit excited! Haha :) :)

Stick them shots in the other thread yeah ... People can see what might be got then :)

Ere yar

I'd be lucky to have 1 woman carrying my gear, I'd be lucky to have a woman carrying anything..............other than a child....sorry drifting............yea a fayre with stalls ;) it's going to be a great event. An RPF event that is.
