Olympus Trip 35 - Ilford XP2 Film

The field patterns from the air are amazing - They try to be so symmetrical in the US, so perfectly planned.

But then nature throughs in something non symmetrical, and chaos ensues [ner]

One helluva Trip! Shall we declare the winner now? Surely it can't be Chris again...Come on guys!

Ah ha Rob - this is a test trip, not a Trip trip - When I do my Trip trip I'll make sure I'll post in the comp thread ;)

Just checking for light leaks yesterday - which there were none so we're in good shape

Chris , very interesting about the uniformity, in as much as, is it flat land? I guess so. I find the colors and abstracts from google sat maps really interesting, it is good to see it in B+W. Quite incredible.

So love looking at film more and more. I had the privileged of seeing some archive plate glass printed images at an institution a few days ago. Mind blowing quality about the large prints from these glass negatives, huge prints that you felt you could walk into.

Nice Chris. Why the difference in shade, top to bottom? (Window tint at bottom I presume?)

Very hazy day Brian - lot's of dust in the atmosphere - nature's own diffuser grad!

I laugh at myself a lot Beth - it helps! :D

It's very very flat out there - but even on less smooth terrain the settlement of the west was done in very regular plots - I guess it was planned rather than happening organically over time, so the man-made boundaries really stand out against nature.
The circular fields are the best - look almost fake from altitude! :)

Nice Chris. Why is it when I look out of a plane window (and I do it frequently) I don't seem to see anything worth photographing like you do?

No idea Paul - this area does have some 'big' features that are easily visible from the air - and lots of non inhabited space.

I saw this landscape yesterday as well - The shot is rather poorly deved (streaks) but you get the idea

Dune Sea - Glamis, CA - Olympus Trip 35 and Ilford XP2

The dunes are inland, up against a mountain chain, east of the agricultural area in the first shot
