My Nephew Again Used My Canon Eos 40D During A Wander Around Manchester Last Week "People Spotting" As He Likes To Call It. I Put Lightroom 3 On His Laptop And He Edited All The Photos Himself, I Suggested He Use "Old Polar" Pre-Set Just Because I Like It lol.

I Set The Camera Up For Him Using Aperture Priority, ISO 200 & About F5 Ish So All He Had To Do Was Point & Shoot. I Also Showed Him Exposure Compensator So He Could Make Photos A Little Brighter Or Darker If Need Be...............He Did The Rest

Watch The Vid To See How He Did.

These are great Daz, it's this sort of thing that I like doing with the kids at the youth clubs........they have a very innocent unhindered view most of the time, well done on him, and you..

He's got some great shots there Darren, I'd say he's a natural.
I wish I had the nerve to have a go at this sort of stuff, I don't even like taking shots at family parties:o.

Some really awesome shots there, I wish I had his guts for taking photos of strangers. He obviously has a natural talent for photography. Very impressive.

I just totally love this kinda photography i agree it aint easy with the thought of oooooo what happens if i get caught / spotted or approached or even confrontation.

Best way is to jump right it there and get snapping..........trust me its a real buzz especially if you get some great photos as well :-)

In my very limited experience, if you do get spotted people usually just ignore you, give you a menacing look or turn & walk another way. Apparently its a good idea not to look at the person your photographing apart from through the lens - No eye contact.
