Once I got beyond the surprise of seeing MD in stereo, and the numbers and letters in the left-hand wall, I got a little bit of a shock when I thought I saw a hand coming out of the bush on the lower right - it must be a weed of sorts. A little bit creepy all round, this image. And a good one.

This is in Magdeburg in Germany. There are quite a lot of empty apartment building and old factories in the Neustadt part of the city. Some have lain empty since the end of World War 2 and others since the end of the Soviet control of East Germany.

Did you ever see her in Touch of Evil? Great film.

I'm not seeing creepy here, but then again, you know where I live... I do like the how the posters stand out from the surroundings. Again, the colors on the brick and vegetation and especially the iron work are really gorgeous.

Thanks again, Steve.

I have seen that film, but years ago now. Maybe I should watch it again.

You definitely should. I think it's Orson Welles' best film. Charleton Heston as a Mexican cop is a bit of stretch but other than that the casting and performances are brilliant. The cinematography is just brilliant. It looks a lot like The Third Man transported to America.
