I prefer the second, Glenn. Not sure why. Seems more precarious and lonely.

I think I'd go with the first and add a fine border in the same tone as one of the darker ones in the image. I think I'd also be tempted to pull the mast a bit more vertical, maybe so that the ropes on the left intersected with the bottom LH corner. What do you think?

First one for me, Glenn. I especially like that the lower down fellow seems to be gazing down toward the deck. That, and the spatial distance between the two riggers, gives me the impression of precariousness and loneliness.

Thank you Brian...As I stood and watched these guys I actually got scared. The wind was blowing in from the ocean and was just misty enough to make things slippery.

I like the first as there seems to be more of a balance between the light and dark areas. The second seems a little congested.
