An older shot from 7-8 years ago, shot on a Lomo. (I know better now!) probably cruising round the Island with my brother -in-law ( my wife is Mauritian) showing me some culture! Being graphic designers, we were both drawn to this stores wonderful hand painted signage!

More from the Festival of Maha Shivarati, these two girls were dancing to drumming, percussion and singing from the people behind, I had to capture them, they were infectious!

I like them all, Nik, even the lomo  My daughter (16) is really into graphic design, and is today finishing a week's work experience from school in a graphic design office. Seems to be loving it.

Great set, Nik. That first one is a stunner.

Like Rob, I too like the lomo one. (Curious, though, what did you mean by "I know better now!" with regard to the limo?)

When I bought the Lomo, I knew very little about lens quality, etc.. Drawn to the funkiness of the design of the camera ( shoot me, I'm a designer!) while I had an Om-1 gathering dust under the bed, now I have seen the light so to speak, and have a nice selection of lenses for the OM-1 which I use on my DSLR too, and thanks to the wonderful www, I've learned how to repair light seals, fix the missing ASA dial on my OM-1 ( probably why I wasn't using it) so I'd probably use this or one of my rangefinders as a walk around if I knew then what I know now! But as they say, the best camera is the one you have with you!
Now the Lomo is gathering dust under the bed, and I have a growing army of rangefinders I'm putting thru their paces or repairing, the latest the Olympus 35SP is proving to be a damn fine addition, and will probably mean I'll be getting rid of my Electro 35's and the others once they're repaired, it's larger viewfinder and precise metering compared to the others, not to mention it's smaller size, are just what I've been looking for, and as close to the OM-1 in quickness in adjusting the setting not to mention focussing! Next up is a £5 OM 10 that needs new light seals, I want to give this a good test in a street shooting setting

The clarity and color palette on #1 is just stunning - worth getting up early for!

Love the lomo shot - it has a lot of atmosphere and the lofi colors really go with the theme

Looking forward to seeing what the Olympus 35SP can do - I've been eyeing them on EBAY for ages :)
