XE1, 18-55m, 2-second timer, Nik Silver and Alien Skin Exposure 5 Filter, and a little sharpening, also in Alien Skin Exposure 5.

Now that's a CD cover if ever I saw one Rob - brilliant selfie!

Love the detail on the beard and stash, the lighting, and the overall retro PP look - what did you use as lighting - it's given a nice catchlight in the eyes that really add life to the shot

Not played with any of the Alien Skin products - what's that all about then?

Cheers, Chris. Alien Skin Exposure 5 is made up of a hundred or more editable filters, colour and b&w, some 'period' styles. I started with the small app called Alt Photo, which got me interested, but lacked the control I was looking for. So I trialled, liked and bought the desktop version, which provides much greater control. I'm using slightly extreme settings here, but it can be very subtle.

BTW, it integrates with LR and Pshop, and Elements.

In the above photo, the light was a standard floor lamp - I don't have any special lighting equipment.

Just goes to show that good light is good light, regardless of the source. You have a far-off yet determined gaze. I agree with Chris. Definite CD cover Rob.
