Memorial Day in the US, a day to remember our fallen soldiers, is the start of the summer season. After two days of rain, snow and cold, here's the view out my window this Memorial Day. The snow has melted off the prairies but hangs heavy in the mountains.

That is wonderful Ralph. Like Chris I love the bands created in the shot but also the line of posts and the way they contrast with the overall parallel lines of the composition. Stunning stuff.

Ha! That line of posts were put there almost ten years ago boy our neighbor. They meant to connect the posts with horizontal poles bu never got it done. Those things get in the way (my opinion) of just about every photo taken from my deck. Sometimes they do add to the composition though.
