Went to Berlin for work, and had a few days to explore the city. I felt very insignificant walking through the stones. A very sombre experience.

Good images, Robbie. I guess you have to be there, though. I'm finding it hard to feel the grief and pain, and it's not from these shots, but others I've seen of this memorial too. But I'm sure if I was there, it would give me a lot to think about.

Thank you. There were lots of people around, but as soon as I walked down in between the stones I was completely alone. Between this and the Topography of Terror museum, it all felt very real and extremely far away from the lessons we had at school (although I had very few lessons on WWII and after).

I especially like the last image where hope can be detected for mankind in that greenary as I interprete it. Was to Bergen Belsen once and I'll never forget it. Very emotional.
