A view from the ferry on the way back from celebrating midsummer with friends at their summer house on one of the islands of the Stockholm archipelago.

Nice triangle, with the two verticles and the sun, and what a beautiful colour. Great comp with the vast area of water in both the forefront and middle. And the light stretching out towards you across the water surface. Beautiful.

Thanks Rob. I must admit that the Ricoh had its own idea of what the colours were but at least they matched the feel of the evening.

Did the Ricoh prove itself as a holiday camera?

So, so at the moment Rob. I think the GR III is a better holiday camera but this produced some quite nice results. I'll do a write-up soon.

About 10:00 PM. The ferries are rather infrequent on midsummer's eve and we had a flight the next morning.

This and the one of the deck of the ferry are rather nice. The Ricoh does seem to show some promise then even though you haven't gelled with it completely.

It's an odd beast. The images can appear a bit soft, even after PP, but when you zoom in there is a shed-load of detail and good contrast.
