Allan - mair memories fae my teenage years wi the Ancrum Road Activities Centre. We went camping there, I think very close to that bridge, off to the left. But that was an incredible 40 years ago! And my mind might be playing tricks. But when that bridge scrolled intae view, so did all the memories. Many thanks for that!

The first ain's no bad tae!

My teenage Scots his come back an aa!

Robs words are evocative as is the photo. The second photo the way it is taken is like the bridge is transporting us somewhere away.

Ooohhhh I say!!! Second is the mutz Allen!
I like the treatment on it too. Bravo sir, bravo! :)

Cheers all for the comments. Rob thanks for that and I will see if I can get the others up of the auld hoose beside the bridge soon

I have been on that road so many times over the last few years and never got round to stopping at the auld house thats there till last week and I stumbled on the bridge :D

PS once you get over that section of the bridge its roll yer socks up and wade over the river as that section isnt there now :D:D:D or just general erosion may have changed the route of the river

'Tis the Bridge o' Doon Allan. The other half only appears every one hundred years! So, if Rob saw it as a lad, you shouldn't have to wait too long to get a shot of the other side! ;)

And I have just realised that I haven't commented on these yet - I've no idea why. Sorry. They are a very nice couple of shots but, as with the others, it is the second one that steals the show. Especially with its almost monochrome palette.

Pete and its square lol :D:D

Oh and dinna mention Brig O Doon too loud Davies been tryin hunt that down for years :D
