A super pair, Dave. The first looks ancient and I like the way the branches stretch the corners of the composition. And I love those wind-shaped trees on the top of the downs and the composition of the shot is just perfect with the grass and trees leaning as they do and revealing the edge of the downs under the branch and the sea beyond. Superb.

Thank you Pete, much appreciated. The first is in the middle of a dense copse right on the ridgeline. Nothing more than about 2.5 metres tall, but they do look very old.
