Critique Welcomed Monterey Bay

Monterey Bay is a place where photo-ops abound. Here at the Hopkins Marine Station of Stanford (adjacent to the Monterey bay Aquarium) I found harbor seals sunning themselves in the morning sun.

And if you are a bit lucky with the timing of the shutter release, you can catch the wave spray on the rocks

Thank you for the comments, gentlemen. I was shooting with a Canon 7D, 24-70mm lens (24mm in the first image and 70mm in the second).

I was shooting these over a 6-foot chain-linked fence (I found a good use of the camera's live view when trying to set up the composition) - I could not get the POV I wanted shooting through the fence. The cove was a bout 50 yards wide - the seals as the lumps you see on the lower right side of the fame.

FYI, I leave the EXIF data in the images for all the camera settings. I use EXIF Viewer (a browser add-on) to look at the image EXIF data (http://araskin.webs.com/exif/exif.html).
