Good shot and bravely taken, Dougie. (I know what you mean about your aversion. My brother in law maintains a small herd of about 30 "heeland coos" up in Applecross. They are fearsome looking creatures and its an act of faith to approach them, but they are quite docile. Although, I think there may be times in the year when the bull will get sensitive if he thinks you are interested in his women.)

Rob...they are actually black, not the Shortbread Tin red coloured beasts...and it may be a girl, I didn't hang around long enough to look...mother had been rubbing her backside on some of my fenceposts and I was becoming concerned the aged things would give way...

Here in Texas that's anytime of the year. Especially for guys driving pick up trucks with Confederate Flag bumper stickers...
