Mount Brown Lookout in Glacier National Park

First off I'll apologize if I had posted any of these before. I looked through my Started Threads list and didn't see it.

The Lookout on Mount Brown is about 4,000 feet up and a little over four miles from Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. It's a great place to visit in late winter. These photos were taken in 2011 but I'd sure like to get up there again this year.

From the trail about halfway up to the lookout. This view is across the Snyder Creek drainage toward Edwards Mountain.

We call these Ghost Trees. Lake McDonald is ten miles long and 4,000 feet below.

Wow!

Ralph - these are stunning - and hats off to you for the effort that goes into getting to the locations to even take the shots.

Have you ever considered doing #1 and #2 as B&W shots?

Actually these images have just been sitting on my hard drives for about a year now. Just went back looking for something else and thought about these. The B&W idea is a good one. I'll have to play with them this week and see what I come up with.
