Absolutly agree!
Number 2 has such a frantic feel to it with most of the frame being made up of blured people!
Very true Garry!
Dp review isn't about photography it's about cameras ...
Technique, not art ...
the technique of art is unfortunately lost on many there IMO
Mark I know how difficult it can be getting over not only the action of these types of events but also the sense of the fun side, conditions and how seriously a few take on the challenges. You have overall captured everything these events can give. The BW images in particular are very good and your images here have certainly given me some ideas for the next time I find myself at a similar type of event. Thanks for showing.
Thanks for all the comments, very much appreciated
I nearly deleted #2 when I reviewed them all but I liked the sense of movement so decided to see what I could get out of it. I'm trying to let go of the "must be technically good" mindset and let "photography is art" lead me. At events like these and gig photography I always wondered how I could create as it seemed as if I all could do was capture what was happening- whether I was there or not - I've always tried to challenge myself to break this train of thought and hopefully it's slowly starting to bear fruit.
